What does Easter mean to you? Some may think its new clothes, pretty hats, egg hunts, and Easter bunnies.
But this is a time of reflection for those who believe. It is a time to celebrate the day our sins were forgiven, through God sending his only son to die on the cross.
He allowed him to suffer at the hands of a cruel Governor, be nailed to a cross, and hung between two thieves. He could’ve called for angels to save him, but he only said, “Father forgive them for they know not what they do.”
The thief hanging beside him told Jesus I believe you are the Messiah come to save the world. He replied “today you will be with me in paradise.” Jesus then died and was buried in a borrowed tomb from which he arose in three days and ascended into heaven.
This was God’s only son whom he sacrificed to save each and every one of us from our sins.
Risen to Save Us.
Such a Glorious Day.
